ABNA24 - Thousands of people marched in Rabat on Sunday in a large-scale demonstration condemning the blatant aggressions against Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli detention facilities, while voicing continued public support for Palestine.

The protest in Rabat brought together a wide range of political parties, trade unions and civil society groups. Demonstrators strongly opposed a proposed Israeli bill linked to the execution of Palestinian prisoners, associated with Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.

Throughout the march, participants chanted slogans condemning detention conditions in Israeli prisons and criticizing access restrictions imposed on Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, including Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

Speakers and participants also reiterated opposition to normalization with Israel, while expressing solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing genocide in the region.

The march is a reaffirmation of Morocco’s support for the Palestinian resistance against Israel’s genocidal campaign.

Since October 7, 2023, Gaza has faced relentless Israeli massacres marked by daily mass killings, starvation, and unyielding violence.
